      See & Do from Cooinda Lodge

      Cooinda is located in the Southern end of Kakadu, and is a perfect base for most tours.  All Kakadu Tourism tours are based out of Cooinda, including Yellow Water Cruises, Kakadu Adventure tours and Yellow Water Fishing, and it is a short walking distance to Warradjan Cultural Centre. The Southern end of the park features most swimming holes and waterfalls including Maguk, Jim Jim Falls, Twin Falls, Ikoymarrwa, Boulder Creek, Motor Car Falls and Kubara Pools.

      Self Drive

      Driving from Darwin to Cooinda Lodge is a scenic and straightforward journey via the Stuart and Arnhem Highways, taking approximately 3 to 4 hours. Along the way, enjoy a stop at the Mamukala Wetlands or the Bowali Visitor Centre in Jabiru to pick up your Parks Pass and travel information.

      Fly into Darwin International Airport, then hire a car or join a tour to reach Cooinda Lodge. The drive takes around 3.5 to 4 hours, with sealed roads all the way.
