Additional Information:
Traverse Kakadu’s ever-changing terrain—from the sweeping lowlands and ancient stone country to cascading waterfalls and secluded swimming holes. Each destination is steeped in Indigenous culture and stories that have been passed down for generations.
Depending on seasonal conditions and accessibility, your flexible itinerary may include iconic attractions such as Gunlom Falls (Set to reopen this May after 6 year closure), Ikoymarrwa, Kubara Pools, Motorcar Falls, Boulder Creek, Koolpin Gorge or the stunning Maguk! You can 4x4 self-drive to these destinations, but our guides bring the place to life through stories and local knowledge – it really adds to the experience.
Led by passionate, certified local guides, the Kakadu Adventure Tour offers a small-group experience (maximum 18 people) in the comfort of a fully air-conditioned 4WD vehicle. The tour includes refreshments and a buffet lunch at Mimi’s—unless you're venturing to Jim Jim Falls, in which case a packed lunch will be provided.
The tour departs daily at 7:00am sharp from Cooinda Lodge (please arrive by 6:45am, have all belongings ready prior to breakfast) and operates based on minimum numbers and seasonal site accessibility. Designed for agile and surefooted travellers, this adventure involves climbing over rocks and navigating uneven terrain, and is not suitable for children under 8.
No two days are the same. Let the waterfalls roar, the rocks whisper, and the land lead the way—this is the Spirit of Kakadu.
