What does one have to do around here to get noticed? 👀🐊🦅
A croc? Check. Actually dozens!
A bird? Check. Actually hundreds!
An incredible wetland backdrop? Obviously.
Meanwhile, the wildlife of Yellow Water Billabong is just casually going about its day, completely unfazed by all the attention. Honestly, we’re not sure who’s the star of the show either. 🤷♀️

Three swimming holes. One very difficult decision. 💦
If you could cool off in one of these Kakadu swimming spots, which would you choose?
💧 Maguk - a beautiful plunge pool tucked beneath towering cliffs, reached by a scenic walk through monsoon forest.
💦 Motorcar Falls - a secluded waterfall and swimming hole surrounded by Kakadu’s rugged landscape. The perfect reward after the walk in.
🌿 Gunlom - famous for its spectacular natural infinity pools, perched high above the landscape with views across Kakadu.
Three very different swimming experiences. One unforgettable national park.
So… Maguk, Motorcar or Gunlom? 👇

Good news! Maguk is reopening to visitors at 11am tomorrow, Friday 28 August 💙
A short, scenic walk through lush monsoon forest leads you to one of Kakadu's most-loved swimming spots - a beautiful seasonal waterfall and plunge pool that's a real family favourite.
A few things to pack: sunscreen, a hat, insect repellent, sturdy shoes, and plenty of food and water. You'll need an AWD or 4WD to get there, and the nearest services (food, water, fuel, Wi-Fi) are back at Cooinda Lodge, about 45 minutes away, so come prepared.
There's also traffic management in place on the access road, so please follow signage and take it easy on your way in.
