Kakadu’s cool season is in full swing, bringing crisp mornings, mild days, and easy access to remote areas. With receding floodwaters, popular attractions like Jim Jim and Twin Falls become accessible by 4WD. This is the most popular time of year to visit Kakadu, when everything is open and the weather is at its most comfortable. For Bininj/Mungguy (local people), this is a time of abundant hunting and harvesting. Visitors should book ahead, as accommodation and tours can fill quickly.
Things to Do: 4WD adventure tours, waterfall hikes, camping, stargazing, cultural tours.
Goodmorning Yellow Water Billabong! The absolute best way to see Kakadu wake up is onboard a Yellow Water Cruise. The colours. The wildlife. The landscape. The people (yes, that's Dennis you can hear sharing his wisdom... and jokes).
If you're not already booked to experience Yellow Water Cruises, make sure you do! It will be a treasured lasting memory of your time in Kakadu. Learn more: kakadutourism.com/see-and-do/tours or see link in bio

New Workshop - Weaving on Country! Join Traditional Owners and Bininj members of the Murumburr Clan for a hands-on pandanus weaving experience on Country. Learn directly from Daluk (Indigenous women) as they share techniques, stories, and knowledge passed down from 65,000 years of continuous culture.
Weaving and gathering materials are traditionally recognised as Women’s business, and this experience offers a respectful way to engage with that living practice. While guided by women, both men and women are welcome to observe, learn, and take part.
The workshop is held at Warradjan Cultural Centre from June to September at 9.30am or 11.00am, and runs for 1 hour.
