Driving from Darwin is straightforward via the Arnhem Highway, the main road into Kakadu. The trip typically takes 2.5 to 3 hours. Along the way, we recommend stopping at the Mamukala Wetlands or visiting the Bowali Visitor Centre near Jabiru to purchase your Parks Pass and pick up information on the region.

Fly into Darwin International Airport, then continue your journey to Kakadu. The Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel is located in Jabiru, approximately a 3-hour drive from Darwin. You’ll need to hire a car or join a tour from Darwin to reach the hotel.
For a faster and scenic option, Kakadu Air offers private charter flights from Darwin to Kakadu. Bookings can be made directly through their website.
