Kakadu Crocodile Hotel Acquired by Journey Beyond

We are excited to announce that ownership of the Kakadu Crocodile Hotel has transferred from Kakadu Tourism (GCH) Pty Ltd to JB Kakadu Hotel Pty Ltd following an asset sale transaction. JB Kakadu Hotel Pty Ltd is part of Journey Beyond, Australia’s leading experiential tourism group. Kakadu Crocodile Hotel will continue to be operated by Accor Asia Pacific. Cooinda has introduced private ensuites in every Outback Retreat, which comfortably sleep up to two adults. For larger parties, the Outback Retreat Plus sleep two adults and two children.

Kakadu Adventure Tours Operating Year Round

From October to April, Private Kakadu Adventure Tours are available to book, offering exclusive 6.5-hour private 4WD expeditions departing from Cooinda Lodge. Each adventure is tailored to seasonal conditions, with itineraries ranging from Gunlom and Maguk Falls to Kubara Pools and hidden cultural sites. With two vehicle options—a LandCruiser for smaller groups or a 4WD truck seating up to 15 guests—and a fixed charter price, it’s an ideal experience for groups and small tour parties.

New Look for Yellow Water Cruise Boats

We’re thrilled to bring this special project to life, celebrating the incredible talent and stories of five local Bininj artists. Their vibrant artworks now adorn our boats, bringing Kakadu’s wildlife, culture and Country to life as you journey across Ngurrungurrudjba (Yellow Water Billabong).
