New LandCruiser for Private Kakadu Adventure Tours
We've added a new vehicle to the fleet, introducing a 4WD Toyota LandCruiser for exclusive private Kakadu adventures. With a minimum of 2 passengers and a fixed charter price for the entire vehicle, these tours are ideal for groups, clubs, and small tour parties. For larger groups (max 15) we still have our 4WD bus that are available for private adventures.
New Ensuite Bathrooms in Family-Sized Outback Retreat Plus
Alongside the exclusive amenities block reserved for Outback Retreat guests, Cooinda has introduced private ensuites in the larger Outback Retreats, which comfortably sleep up to two adults and two children. While the focus has been on upgrading these family and group-sized glamping tents first, the long-term goal is to eventually offer private ensuites with every tent.

New Look for Yellow Water Cruise Boats!
We’ve been working on an exciting project to transform the Yellow Water Cruise boats with vibrant artwork by five local Bininj artists. Soon, the boats will showcase colourful depictions of Kakadu’s wildlife and culture, bringing local stories to life on the water. The Kakadu-local Bininj Artists partnering with Kakadu Tourism to feature their artworks include David Cameron, Jacqueline Cahill, Aysha Alderson, Lennie Murabura and Billy Badwana.
Installation is underway, and scheduled for completion by the end of 2025.
