New Cooinda Lodge Bush Tucker Tour

This new walking tour allows guests to connect with country, and taste the flavours of Kakadu. Each tour commences and concludes at Cooinda Lodge Reception. The duration is 1.5 hours long, operating from 4pm Wednesday to Sunday, 1st May to 31st October 2024. Must contain min 4 people to run the tour, with a maximum of 30 people.

Reminder: foreign language guides are not permitted to use the microphones upon the Yellow Water Cruise. We further recommend foreign language groups of min 4 people book a Private Yellow Water boat tour. Kakadu Adventure Tours

Starting May 2024, our Kakadu Adventure Tours will be a condensed 5-hour guided tour, with a daily customised itinerary based on site accessibility and group fitness levels. We've trimmed down the duration by 3 hours, making better use of the time and by request, will have you back at Cooinda Lodge in time to join the sunset cruise! Offering a post-tour lunch at Cooinda Lodge in lieu of a mid-tour packed meal. Pickup is at 7.30am Cooinda Lodge, returning guests by 1pm.
Yellow Water Fishing

Gear up and get ready for the return of our Yellow Water Fishing Tours this 6th March 2024! The 2.5hr tour will be running at 6.45am from Cooinda Lodge every day. Each booking must be a minimum of 2 people, with a maximum of 4 people fishing.

Introducing our private boat tours! Departing 11am daily, this 2.5hr tour allows you to soak in the peaceful Yellow Water Billabong in exclusivity, with the option to add fishing rods for an even better adventure! Max 8 people per boat, with up to 4 people fishing at any point in time.

Experience the tropical summer in our 4WD buses, with a fully customisable itinerary departing from Cooinda at 8AM or 11AM with lunch included! As our tropical wet season brings the National Park to life, this is the perfect opportunity to experience the lush greenery, marvellous waterfalls like Motor Car Falls, Boulder and rock art sites such as Nourlangie. Price is $2000 for 4 passengers, and $100PP for every extra up to 17 pax.

NEW Yellow Water Pop-Up Tents
From $79
This March 2024, we're introducing our new pop-up camping experience at Kakadu! From just $79 per night ($99 during peak season), guests can enjoy a semi-permanent tent equipped with two camp beds, available 5 nights a week. Although the area is unpowered, we do provide linen for your comfort. The space can accommodate school camping groups, being 20m away from public vehicles.
Kakadu Billabong Safari Camp

In collaborating with Kakadu Billabong Safari Camp, we’re introducing this all-inclusive overnight tour, with transport from Cooinda, a cultural induction at Patonga community, cooked dinner and breakfast as well as accommodation in unpowered safari tent with a queen-sized bed. Pickup from Cooinda is 3PM, returning 10AM the following morning. This tours is available 7 nights per week, max 2 people per tent.

The Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel’s very own art gallery is launching it’s online store! The launch of this new website and online store will take place over the Taste of Kakadu Food Festival from May 24th to 26th allowing guests to purchase items and ship them back home, or purchase from anywhere!

Cooinda Lodge Food & Beverage
Breakfast - at Cooinda is $35PP for a full buffet breakfast, serving daily.
Lunch - Mimi Restaurant provides a buffet service, for tour groups and casual. The new Cooinda Cafe will also serve packed lunches, snacks and coffee from 8AM-4PM daily.
Dinner - Starting May 2024, options from 6PM will include Mimi’s Restaurant as an indoor a la carte table service with bookings required. Barra Bar will open from 4pm daily with our new OrderUp QR table ordering and service at the bar, meanwhile the Too Deadly Fish ‘n’ Chips Van and BBQ Smokehouse will alternate each night, from 6PM to 8PM.
Cooinda Lodge Now Has Wi-Fi
Wifi is now available in Barra Bar, Mimi’s Restaurant and the outdoor dining area. Ultra Fast Wifi is also available in our luxury Yellow Water Villas!

You may have notices we no longer advertise "family" rooms or "twin" lodge rooms, this is because all lodge rooms have a new bed configuration to fit up to four people in each, with a large queen bed, a single bed and a trundle.
