Not every adventure is about reaching the destination. Sometimes, it's about slowing down along the way. 🌿
The Bardedjilidji Walk is a gentle 2.5km loop that winds through some of Kakadu's most fascinating landscapes. Wander between ancient sandstone outliers, pockets of lush monsoon forest, paperbark woodland and peaceful wetlands, with something new to discover around every bend.
Along the track, keep an eye out for wildlife like the elusive black wallaroo, colourful chestnut-quilled rock pigeon, echidnas and soaring white-bellied sea-eagles. You'll also discover how Traditional Owners have cared for this Country for tens of thousands of years, with native plants used for weaving, food and tools, and ancient rock art tucked within cool sandstone shelters.
