🌅 Kakadu made the list. Now it’s your turn to make it here. The Top End caught the world’s attention in 2026, earning a spot on the @nytimes 52 Places to Go list. And with places like Gunlom Falls, it’s not hard to see why.
Imagine soaking in those famous infinity pools as the sun sets over Kakadu’s ancient landscapes. A moment like this deserves more than a spot on your saved posts. 😉
✨ Kakadu on your horizon for 2027? Make this the year you turn that dream into a trip. Who’s coming with you?
Chasing light across Kakadu 📸
@mitchellburns_ spent a few days exploring the floodplains, escarpments and wetlands, and came home with crocs, ancient rock country and that unmistakable Top End glow.
The kind of place where every corner holds another shot, and you’ll want to come back for more.
A visit to Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre is a chance to connect with the stories, culture and artistry of Kakadu’s Bininj/Mungguy people. From hand-woven pandanus baskets and earrings to paintings of barramundi, water lilies and Mimi spirits, every piece at Warradjan carries a story from Kakadu.🍃
Some holidays they might not remember. This won’t be one of them. 🐊🌿
Spotting crocs on Yellow Water, wandering through ancient rock art galleries, splashing about with sunscreen-smudged faces, and falling asleep in the car with a head full of stories. Kakadu gives little explorers a world that feels as big as their imaginations.

Some places are too big to take in from the ground. 🚁
From above, Kakadu shows you its true scale. Sandstone escarpments meet endless wetlands, rivers wind across the floodplains, and the landscape stretches as far as you can see. It’s a view you won’t forget.
