On Saturday 23 May, Kakadu comes alive with one of the most unique festival experiences in Australia, the annual Karrimanjbekkan An-me Kakadu (Taste of Kakadu) Festival.
It's a day to slow down, eat well, and really connect with Country. Learn to weave and paint alongside Bininj artists. Try damper and fire-cooked fish. Discover the incredible flavour of Kakadu plum with a bush food workshop. Take a Bush Tucker Cruise on Yellow Water Billabong. Then end the evening with live music from Shellie Morris AO and Ego Lemos - two artists who tell stories of Country like no one else.
So much of the day's program is completely free with some workshops requiring you to register in advance).
