A gateway to the wonders of Arnhem Land and its cultural artistry

Nearing the renowned Cahills Crossing on the western boundaries of Arnhem Land, Manbiyarra (Border Store) is a great dry season attraction. Open from late May to October each year, Manyibarra has recently become a pop-up art store by Injalak Arts, an Indigenous-owned non-profit organisation based in Gunbalanya. The shop offers a diverse range of indigenous artworks, including paintings on bark and paper, intricately crafted weavings and sculptures, and uniquely hand-screen printed fabric lengths. Given the current limitations on permits to Arnhem Land, interested visitors can secure their spot by booking tours of rock art sites in Arnhem Land directly at the Border Store or conveniently online through Kakadu Cultural Tours.
