Join Daluk (Aboriginal women) as they prepare bush tucker over a ground oven. Observe how river fish, yams, and fruits are prepared and cooked while learning about each food’s cultural importance. Tastings vary with cooking times and seasonal availability, so come by and see what’s sizzling!

Discover why the Kakadu plum is a beloved and iconic bush food of this region. Under the guidance of chef Paul ‘Yoda’ Iskov (Fervor), learn how to harvest, preserve, and celebrate this nutritious fruit. Head home with a jar of Kakadu plum preserve to impress your friends.



Women's Weaving Workshop

Learn traditional weaving under the guidance of Daluk (Aboriginal women). See the magic as pandanus spiralis leaves are dyed with flowers and seeds, creating vibrant fibres for your own woven creation. Please note, for cultural reasons, the weaving workshop is for women participants only, all ages.



Men's Spear Making Workshop

Join Dale Austin, a painter and carver, for a hands-on spear-making session. Learn how to straighten and attach one of two hunting tips—Djarlagadj for fish or Lama for larger game. All gear is provided, and you’ll leave with a fully finished spear. Note: For cultural reasons, this workshop is for men participants only, all ages.


Traditional Painting Workshop
