Go Behind the Scenes and Experience the Real 'Territory'
Buckle Up. It's Time to Wrangle the Real Territory!
Netflix’s Territory is an epic adventure series set in the NT. Think Yellowstone meets McLeod’s Daughters with a bad-boy hint of Sons of Anarchy. Filmed on locations across Top End, the real Territory is much more than what you’re streaming at home. So much more.
Up here we don’t just watch the Outback unfold from afar. We live it. We breathe it. It’s the dust under our fingernails, the warmth in our heart, the larger-than-life characters we call friends. We embrace everything Outback Australia. And you can too! For Real.
Don’t just watch Territory, wrangle your very own Territory adventure. Feel the warm sun on your skin. The red dirt beneath your boots. Kick up some dust. Brush off your Akubra. Pack your sense of adventure (and your swimsuit too!) and come experience the Territory. For Real.
Kakadu Featured in Netflix Show: Territory
The new Netflix series Territory filmed several key scenes in Kakadu National Park, leveraging its striking landscapes to enhance the visual and thematic elements of the show. As one of the filming sites, Kakadu provided a dramatic natural backdrop that emphasises the intensity and ruggedness of the neo-western drama. Special permission was granted by the Traditional Owners to film within the park, such as the Hawk Dreaming "Sorry Place" which is a listed sacred site within the park.
Additional filming locations included Tipperary Station and Mallala in South Australia. These areas complemented Kakadu’s unique environment by adding expansive outback settings that support the series’ focus on a high-stakes family power struggle over the world’s largest cattle station.
