Yellow Water Cruises

Yellow Water Billabong is located at the end of Jim Jim Creek, which forms part of the South Alligator River. The South Alligator river system, the largest in the Kakadu National Park, is made up of extensive river channels, blackwater swamps and floodplains. The Indigenous-owned Yellow Water Cruises has exclusive use of Yellow Water Billabong, and they operate year round with up to six cruises a day of 90 or 120 minutes. Kakadu sunrises and sunsets over the billabong are spectacular and very popular, so be sure to book in advance. This cruise is suitable for all age groups with childrens prices available 5 - 15 years and children 4 and under, travel for free.

Kakadu National Park Pass
All visitors need a Kakadu National Park pass to experience the park’s world heritage wonders. The Park Pass helps to maintain the park’s facilities, preserve its World Heritage sites and support traditional owners and their community. The Park Pass prices vary depending on the season, with lower prices during the tropical summer from November to May. Park passes are free for Northern Territory residents. You can purchase your pass online or by visiting Bowali Visitor Centre.
