7/8 CULTURE CLASS EXCURSION TO YELLOW WATERS

WEDNESDAY 29TH AUGUST 2012

After recess on Wednesday out class hopped on the school bus with Andy Ralph as our driver. We listened to the Nabalek Band music on the way. Some of us sang along. We arrived at Cooinda and after a short break we met up with our tour guides Reubin and Darrell. Andy drove us down to the boat at Yellow Waters and we all climbed aboard. We had the biggest boat all to ourselves. Reubin was our Captain. Along the way we saw a big Ginga!

During the trip we also saw a dead filesnake floating on the water and we also spotted a great number of birds and a couple of Barramundi.

We made our way back to the bus and went to the Warradjan Cultural Centre where we had lunch. After lunch we all went and had a look through the Warradjan Cultural Centre.

After our stay at Warradjan we all boarded the bus and made our way back to School.

Special thanks to Dave, Darrell, Reubin, Andy, Dell, Vicky, Claudia and of course our teachers Mr Matt and Ms Peggy for organizing this great excursion.
