At Kakadu Tourism, we are working hard to ensure that the health and safety of our guests is our top priority within the accommodation of Cooinda Lodge and Mercure Crocodile Hotel. We have aligned with the Accor ALLSAFE Program and have introduced a COVID-19 Safe plan for our properties to ensure that our hygiene standards are meeting those of the Australian Government and our guests, partners, and ambassadors have an indulgent and safe experience.
What are we doing?
Our staff have had comprehensive safety training to effectively achieve the highest criteria of sanitisation practices in alignment with the Australian Department of Health standards. Our improved cleaning program ensures that public areas of the hotel will be sanitised more frequently with a specific focus on all high touch areas, including door knobs, bathrooms and the front desk – just to name a few.
To reinforce a safe dining experience, our restaurants, in-room dining and bar service have increased hygiene protocols across all aspects of business. Staff are required to practice hygiene through social distancing, frequent disinfection of all surfaces, alcohol-based hand sanitiser and the use of masks & gloves. These standards transition over to food preparation, plating and service to safeguard our guests’ health. We have also removed minibars from rooms to minimise contact with guests.
Our ambassadors have been strictly advised to please stay at home if they are feeling unwell before their shift or, immediately inform a supervisor if they start to feel unwell during their shift. Our guests will have access to a dedicated health hotline during their stay to answer any questions regarding COVID-19 and as of July, will have access to medical professionals and tele-medical support for peace of mind leading up to your stay.
What can you do?
As Australians, we continue to take the required steps that safeguard our country from COVID-19 so we ask that our guests do the same within our properties. We have provided the necessary protocols to make your health and safety a priority through providing masks & alcohol-based hand sanitiser at your request, following engineered social distancing floor plans and health checks when necessary.
When dining, we ask that contactless payment be made to minimise contact where possible.
